Book 140 W 51st Street if you want the shortest walk and a fair price. Book 209 W 51st Street if you want the cheapest spot that still gets you to your seat in five minutes. Skip the Rockefeller Center garage at 53 W 48th unless you like paying double for the name.

What parking near Radio City Music Hall costs

Budget $35 for the garage and $9 for the toll, so about $44 all in.

Prepaid rates for a four hour evening window run $24 to $47. Drive up and you will pay more, often a lot more on a sold out night.

The congestion toll catches people out. Any car entering Manhattan below 60th Street pays $9 with E-ZPass between 5am and 9pm on weekdays, or 9am to 9pm on weekends. Without E-ZPass it is $13.50. You pay once per day, not per entry.

Midtown garage rates run higher than most arenas. If you are comparing venues, see parking near Madison Square Garden parking near Madison Square Garden for how the two stack up.

The closest garage to Radio City Music Hall

The closest garage is 140 W 51st Street, about a two minute walk.

Radio City has no parking of its own. The 51st Street garage puts you around the corner from the venue's north side, which matters when 6,000 people are leaving at once.

The CBS Building garage at 31 W 52nd Street and the Rockefeller Center garage at 53 W 48th Street are also two minutes out, so pick on price rather than distance.

Cheap parking near Radio City Music Hall

The cheapest garage near Radio City is 209 W 51st Street at $24 for an evening.

Two rules cut the bill. Book ahead instead of driving up, which saves up to half on posted rates. Then walk west: garages toward Broadway and Eighth Avenue price lower than anything sitting on top of Rockefeller Center.

158 W 54th Street at $31 and 242 W 51st Street at $28 are the next best value, both under five minutes on foot.

Booking ahead matters most on a big night. Check upcoming events in New York City /events for your date before you commit to a garage.

Parking discounts and coupons that actually work

Icon Rewards is the only discount that works whether you book ahead or just drive up.

It is free to join and gives you at least 10% off. Book through your Rewards account, or open the IconGO app at the cashier and scan your digital card after they ring up the ticket. Do it before you pay, because cashiers cannot adjust the price afterward.

The 10% applies to posted rates, event rates, and night and early bird specials. It does not stack with coupons or account credits, and it will not apply to anything you booked through SpotHero or ParkWhiz.

SpotHero and ParkWhiz work differently. You prepay a discounted rate, and most hourly bookings can be canceled free right up to the start time. Event bookings are sometimes non-refundable, so read the terms.

One thing to know: there is no validation. Radio City does not validate parking, and neither does Rockefeller Center. Ignore any site that tells you otherwise.

Street parking near Radio City Music Hall

Do not try it.

Sixth Avenue outside the venue is No Standing, and the side streets are mostly loading zones and commercial vehicle spaces. What little metered curb exists in the Midtown Core costs $5.50 for the first hour and $9 for every hour after that.

Every block has its own posted hours and time limit, and all of New York City is a tow away zone. You will spend twenty minutes circling for a spot that costs more than the garage.

Free parking near Radio City Music Hall

There is no free parking near Radio City Music Hall.

The only exception is technical. Meters are switched off on Sundays and on six major holidays, so a metered spot is free on those days where the sign allows it. There is barely any metered curb within a short walk, and during the holiday season much of it disappears behind street closures.

Plan on a garage.

Accessible parking and drop off

Access-A-Ride drops off and picks up on Sixth Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets, at the Box Office Lobby.

Step free entry is through the main doors under the marquee at 50th and Sixth. There is an automatic door opener on the exterior wall near the far left door. Elevators to all mezzanine levels and the Grand Lounge are on the 51st Street side of the Grand Foyer.

If you are driving in with a placard, park in a garage. New York City does not honor out of state or New York State disability placards for on street parking anywhere in the five boroughs. Those permits are valid only in marked off street spaces. On street curb access requires a NYC Parking Permit for People with Disabilities, which any US resident can apply for.

Wheelchair transport to your seat is free on request, and staff will store mobility devices during the show.

Why most people take the subway instead

The subway drops you at the door for a fraction of the cost.

The B, D, F and M stop at 47-50 Sts Rockefeller Center, and one staircase comes up inside the Radio City building itself at Sixth and 50th. The station is accessible.

The 1 stops at 50th and Broadway, five minutes west. The N, Q, R and W stop at 49th Street, four minutes away. The A, C and E stop at 50th and Eighth, about eight minutes.

Getting a car afterward is its own problem. Sixth Avenue is No Standing, so your driver cannot wait outside, and 6,000 people are requesting rides at the same moment. Add the $1.50 rideshare surcharge on top of surge pricing. Walk a block or two off Sixth before you request.

Coming in from Brooklyn, the subway math looks a lot like parking at Barclays Center: transit beats driving in either direction.

Parking during the Christmas Spectacular season

Park north of the venue during the holiday run, not south.

The Christmas Spectacular runs November 4, 2026 through January 4, 2027, with 230 performances and several shows a day through December. Garage prices climb and spaces sell out days ahead, so book early. Browse all New York City events /events to see what else is running that week.

Here is the part that matters. In recent seasons the city has closed 49th and 50th Streets between Fifth and Sixth to vehicles daily, roughly 11am to midnight, to handle the crowds. A garage on 51st, 52nd or 53rd Street is far easier to leave than one on 48th, even though 48th looks closer on a map.

The tree lighting is expected on Wednesday, December 2, 2026. On that night the NYPD closes 48th through 51st Streets between Sixth and Madison from 3pm, and tells drivers to stay out of the area entirely until midnight. If you have show tickets that night, take the train.
